Platinum-selling South London collective D-Block Europe release their highly-anticipated album, Lap 5. To celebrate, they release brand new single and music video for their track, ‘4 The Win’.
Made up of 16 tracks, Lap 5 magnifies D-Block Europe’s meteoric rise as they set their sights on global domination. The album celebrates the last five summers and is the pinnacle of Young Adz and Dirtbike LB’s distinctive artistry and compelling lyricism.
Alongside ‘4 The Win’, Lap 5 also features previous chart offerings, ‘Elegant & Gang’, ‘Black Beatles’ and Young Adz’ recent solo single ‘Man In The Mirror’, which debuted in the Top 40 of the Official Singles Chart on release. Summer bop ‘Fantasy’ also appears on the album and has gained strong A-list radio support across BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, KISS FM and more.
Not stopping there, D-Block Europe draft in global superstars Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy for ‘Lonely Lovers’ and ‘She’s Not Any One’, respectively. Both tracks explore a more reflective and emotive side to their songwriting, a recurring theme throughout the album. Meanwhile, ‘Conor McGregor’ showcases bold and boisterous bars akin to the Irish professional MMA fighter’s striking personality.
D-Block Europe comprises of various artists, with Young Adz and Dirtbike LB at the forefront of the South London collective, pioneering their individual sounds globally. In addition to five consecutive UK Top 10 albums, they have racked up three billion streams, three platinum-selling singles, a MOBO Award and two BRIT nominations.
Lap 5 follows D-Block Europe’s acclaimed gold-certified 2021 mixtape Home Alone 2, which includes platinum-selling hit ‘Overseas’ feat. Central Cee. The mixtape has surpassed 550 million streams to date and peaked in the Top 10 of the Albums Chart on release. Off the back of Home Alone 2’s release, D-Block Europe embarked on a sold-out UK headline tour, which boasts a sell-out O2 Arena show.
Continuing with their remarkable live endeavours, D-Block Europe successfully made their debut US festival appearance at Rolling Loud New York and are currently on a solid run of dates across North America. The collective will be back on home turf in November for a victory lap of three hotly-tipped headline shows at The O2 and a newly announced date at Manchester’s AO Arena on 13th November, with tickets on sale now.
