With the guidance of Attitude is Everything, we have developed a scheme to improve the way in which we allocate complimentary personal assistant tickets. Please complete and submit our Access Form in order to apply for a personal assistant ticket.
Why are you asking for evidence to book personal assistant tickets?
We have put this policy in place to improve our accessibility booking systems. The Arena wants to ensure that the allocation of personal assistant tickets is a fair process. We want to ensure that all personal assistant tickets are reserved for those individuals who would be unable to attend an event without the support of another person. In order to do this we require an Access Form and supporting evidence to assess individual’s eligibility for booking tickets.
Who is eligible for a personal assistant?
Anyone who submits the Access Scheme form and can provide evidence of one of the below will be eligible for a personal assistant ticket:
• Disability Living Allowance/ Personal Independence Payments
• Attendance Allowance
• Severely sight impaired card
• Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
• Credibility Access Card
How will the booking process work?
Tickets will still be available to purchase via the accessibility booking line. Please call 0161 950 5229 to book tickets.
When purchasing tickets please discuss your accessibility requirements and whether you require a free personal assistant ticket.
If you have not signed up to our access database your tickets will be reserved for a maximum of 14 days until we receive your access form and supporting evidence. Once we have received your documentation a member of the team will be in touch to arrange payment. If this is not received within the 14 day period your tickets will be automatically cancelled.
If you have signed up to our access database please state this at the time of booking. A member of staff will then check your sign up date and providing this is within a three year period you will be automatically eligible for a free personal assistant ticket.
What happens if I do not have any evidence?
We also accept a statement with the option to send alternative evidence. Please note personal assistant tickets will be allocated at the venues discretion on a case by case basis and we may share this information with our medical team to ascertain eligibility for free personal assistants.
What is the Access Database?
The access database allows the Arena to record your eligibility for a free personal assistant ticket. Your name, Ticketmaster account number and eligibility for a free personal assistant ticket will be stored on the database for a three year period. This means that you will be able to book accessible seating and receive a personal assistant ticket quickly and easy without providing evidence each time you book within the three year period.
What happens if I don’t sign up to the Access Database?
If you choose not to sign up to the Access Database providing you return the form and eligible evidence you will be able to book a personal assistant ticket for the event of your choice. However you will need to resubmit this information each time you wish to book tickets.
How will my data be stored?
We will keep all submitted information secure and once we have reviewed them, we will immediately and securely destroy them.
If you choose to sign up to the Access Database your form and supporting evidence will be securely destroyed as soon as your eligibility has been registered. Your eligibility for a free personal assistant ticket will be recorded for a three year period. The Access database will be encrypted and password protected on a need to know basis.
